Terms of sale

These terms apply to purchases and quote requests from 2748581 Ontario Incorporated O/A Sound Solar (“Sound Solar”). By placing an order or requesting a firm quote, you agree to these terms.

Products & descriptions

We sell solar modules, inverters, batteries, racking, and balance-of-system hardware, including EG4 kits and custom packages. Catalog copy, specs, and images are for guidance; manufacturer datasheets control. We may correct errors and refuse orders that appear fraudulent or cannot be fulfilled.

Prices

Prices are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD). Unless stated otherwise, prices exclude freight, brokerage, duties, and applicable taxes (including Ontario HST). We may change published prices at any time before we accept an order.

Quotes, stock & acceptance

Online carts and “Request quote” actions are invitations to treat, not binding contracts. A contract forms when we confirm acceptance in writing (email or invoice), including stock and freight. Lead times vary; special-order and clearance items are as noted on the product page.

Payment

When online checkout is enabled, payment is processed by our payment provider. Until then, payment instructions are given with the quote or invoice. Title passes when we receive cleared payment and the goods are delivered to the carrier or pickup location, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Shipping & risk

Primary fulfillment is drop-ship across Canada and the United States. Freight is quoted and approved before ship. Risk of loss transfers according to the Incoterm or carrier terms stated on the invoice (typically when goods are tendered to the carrier). Inspect skids and cartons on arrival and note damage on the delivery receipt. See our Shipping and Returns pages.

Pickup

Local pickup at 286 Hwy 124, McDougall, ON is by appointment only and is secondary to shipping.

Installation & compliance

Sound Solar sells components. We do not design, permit, or install your system unless separately contracted in writing. You are responsible for licensed electrical work, ESA (or equivalent) inspection, utility interconnection, and building permits. See our Safety & ESA disclaimer.

Warranties

Manufacturer warranties apply as published by each brand. Sound Solar’s liability for its own negligence is limited to the purchase price of the affected goods. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties beyond what cannot be excluded under Ontario consumer protection law for consumer purchases.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sound Solar is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including lost profits, downtime, or energy production shortfalls). Our total liability for any claim related to a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product.

Returns

Returns follow our Returns & refunds policy. Opened electrical equipment and special-order items may be non-returnable.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Courts in Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived.
