Sound Solar (“Sound Solar”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy describes how we handle personal information when you browse our website, request a quote, place an order, or contact us by phone.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, phone, email, shipping and billing addresses.
- Order details: products, quantities, quotes, payment confirmation references (when checkout is live), and correspondence.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and basic usage logs if we enable analytics or hosting logs (for example Cloudflare).
- Cart data stored in your browser (
localStorage) until you clear it — that stays on your device unless you send us a quote or order.
How we use it
- To respond to quote requests, confirm stock and freight, and fulfill orders.
- To process payments through our payment provider (when enabled) and keep business records.
- To improve the site, prevent fraud, and meet legal or tax obligations.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share what is needed with:
- Freight carriers and drop-ship / wholesale partners to deliver your order.
- Payment processors (for example Shopify Payments / Stripe) when you pay online.
- Hosting, email, and analytics providers that process data on our behalf.
- Authorities when required by law.
Cross-border
We ship across Canada and the United States. Your information may be processed or stored in Canada or the US by us or our service providers.
Retention & security
We keep order and tax records as long as required by Ontario/Canada law and ordinary business practice. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards; no method of transmission is 100% secure.
Your choices
You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold, or request deletion where the law allows. Contact us at 705 346 0796 or by mail at the address below. If you use analytics opt-outs or browser “Do Not Track”, we will honour what our tools support once analytics is configured.
Children
Our site is intended for adults purchasing or specifying solar equipment. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
